I have upgraded to Windows 10 without an issue. The problems started after the update has completed. Prefetch folder keeps getting corrupted. I have used chkdsk to fix it, but the problem keeps returning. Windows Resource Protection didn’t find any integrity violations which is good. Chkdsk /f /r was not able to fix the corruption.
I have ran a S.M.A.R.T test Power Cycle Count attribute is below 97%. I think my heard drive is on it’s way out this is why chksks can’t fix it. Any advice is welcome.
Update: 6/25/2017: My drive is worn but otherwise in a good shape.
When putting a computer in sleep dome the computer shuts down sfc /scannow found no problems.
Registering cdp.dll has been successful, let’s see if it will solve the problem. I will not be updating this post if the problem has been solved. Read this article for registering dll files.
I have switched to my mother’s account to check something. The profile was louding much slower then usual today. https://instagram.com/p/BUvIf1rhamh/
Finally I was able to log in. Tried to check the information my mother needed just to find out that ether the username or password that I was entering is wrong. After 3 attempts the account was lucked out. I had to wait 15 minutes to try again. While waiting for the account I decided to upload pictures. I have connected the phone to a computer and clicked on menu nothing happened. I clicked on “type here to search” once again nothing happened. Right now I am running sac /scannow to see if it can fix it.
The scan has ended. No problem has been found.

The first, thing I did was to make sure that “File” permissions were not changed. All files were fine except for “Users” file. Which had All Application Packages missing. I have added All Application Packages with Full Control.
The second, thing did was to check Registry. It didn’t take me long time to find the problem was with HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE subkeys BCD00000000, SAM, SECURITY, and SOFTWARE. Had to add All Application Packages with Read permission.
I have not yet tested the computer to see if the fix has worked or not. I will update this article when I find out.
I have tested Xbox App today. It’s still crashing.
